My mom and I had a fabulous Sunday! ^_^
1. I served in our church’s Sunday School then attended the English service with my mom. The topic was fear which was amazing because I was kinda scared because I’m going to start working this Wednesday.
2. I accompanied my mom to the hearing center so she can have her hearing test. There were so many patients so we opted to go around Megamall while waiting for our turn.
3. We were surprised to see that there was a coconut festival in one of the halls in the mall! We went environmental-friendly and health-conscious shopping like crazy! We even bought make-up with no chemicals! I was so cheap we bought two! SO HAPPY!
4. My mom got her hearing test for free because she was a doctor. The doctors in the hearing center refused to be paid! REFUSED! So my mom promised to refer her patients to them.
5. We went back to church because mama wanted to attend the Tagalog service. After the service, I asked our pastor to pray for me because I was kinda scared that I don’t have the right background for the job. Our pastor and mama laid hands on me and we prayed earnestly. I’m at peace :)
6. Mama bought a Japanese inspired blouse. Very nice.
7. We wanted to eat Korean food for dinner but it was raining so hard because of the typhoon. So we took a cab to Robinsons Galleria (since it was the mall closer to home) and gave the taxi driver a large tip. Mama said to him “kuya smile!” and he laughed. Yup, he was happy despite of the storm!
8. We found a Singaporean restaurant and ate there instead. The food was delicious and we didn’t except that the serving was large! The highlight of the dinner was when the Executive Chef, H.K. Tan, visited our table and chatted with us. He explained how he trained his people and how he imports all his ingredients from India, Singapore etc. so to give his guests a real taste of his country. It was amazing!
9. After dinner, we watched Crazy, Stupid, Love. We love it! It was so funny! I officially love Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone. SERIOUSLY. Mama can’t stop laughing at the sauna room scene hahaha!
10. I loved that day! I love hanging out with my mama! Thank you Jesus for a fabulous Sunday!
My Little Brother, Maxxe Ian.
Well, he’s not little anymore. He’s taller and bigger than me now. He’s 17 years old and studying college. He’s taking up a pre-med major.
This guy really loves his hair! He dyes it once a month. I wasn’t allowed to color my hair when I was younger but he was allowed to. He loves his hair so much that he takes pictures of it. XD A few months ago, I asked him to dye my hair and he did a pretty good job. :D Another thing that he was allowed to do but I wasn’t was to have girlfriends (in my case, boyfriends). I wasn’t allowed to have a boyfriend until I finish college (It’s true). However, my brother hasn’t been single for 5 months since high school. ~_~”
He also loves kids. He’s amazing with them. He’s very sweet to our younger cousins, especially to our younger half-sister (pictures above). They have the same humor. They both love food and taking pictures… mostly of themselves. XD
We always annoy each other. We fight. We make fun of each other and boss each other around. Most of the time, especially when we were younger, it’s my fault. I never believed that he can even be a doctor because all he cared about were his looks, girlfriends and computer games. Until recently.
Max started to change. He became more and more responsible. He did well in his classes and even talked excitedly about them at home. He also gets good grades. He’s been sharing a lot in our family Bible studies. And he took care of me earlier today (even for a little while).
My little brother is growing and is going to be a fine young man and amazing future doctor. I believe it now. PRAISE GOD!
This is my college graduation picture. As I look at this and my other pictures when I was younger than 23, I cringe. I really don’t know how to dress myself then. High school and college years for me were awkward. When everyone else was really into make-up, cool dresses & shoes (heels) and parties, I was a big nerd. What’s worse was I attended an all-girls’ college. Yeah.
It’s just now that I’m learning how to put on proper make-up. Well, because I need it to be presentable for work. My braces are also off. I listen to my mama about fashion (Yes, she knows more about fashion than me!). And lastly, it’s because I’m surrounded with beautiful girls in my DGroup and D12. They inspire me to be beautiful INSIDE AND OUT. (YES NAMAN!)
But I still have a long way to go! I don’t even know how to do my nails properly. I’m so lazy when it comes to putting on lotions and stuff. Heels still scare me. AND I NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT! I also need to build my character too.
Yup, still a long way to go before I can truly be a Proverbs 31 woman.
